Jérŏme Thibouville-Lamy made this rare parlour (or pocket) cornet in Paris in about 1900-1905. It was previously owned by Robert Jenner, distinguished Emeritus Principal of the Scottish National Orchestra, gifted to him as a boy by his trombonist father. These palm-size cornets were small enough to be taken underground in miners’ lunch boxes. Playing melliflously in Bb, A and C, it was acquired in 2018 and fully restored by McQueens and by Smith Brass Services. It was featured in the International Trumpet Guild Journal (no. 45, January 2021) (see Publications tab).
